Hair Trends of 2024 revealed…
We’ve been doing our hair homework and getting up to date with the new hair trends of 2024. From dreamy tones to perfect colour placement, it’s all about embracing individuality. Let’s take a look…
Style: Italian Bob
This is the bob for beginners. This chin-length bob is subtly contoured to fall around the face. It’s a little more choppy than a layered or A-line bob, and it looks great with tousled waves or extra texture for a more glamorous look!
Colours: Hair colourists are calling this Cherry Cola and Wheat Blonde.
The Cherry Cola trend started with layered brown liner and sheer-red lip gloss and now we’ve evolved to our hair colour. It’s a reddened dark-brown shade and works really well if you already have dark hair. It must be super glossy to make the full impact!
Wheat blonde, also known as golden or honey. Blonde hues are turning a little warmer this year, for a softer look with extra definition. This means it grows out very naturally and is perfect for all the season. Think Sienna Miller and Cara Delevigne.
Accessories: Bands and Bows.
Hair accessories are in for 2024! We saw bows make a debut at the end of 2023 and it makes no signs of slowing this year. Simply pull the front section of the hair and clip in your bow and you have yourself a super stylish do in seconds. Headbands are also big news – think 90s, après ski. It works wonders if you’re having a bad hair day or you’re overdue a hair wash!
Colour techniques: Balayage – with Camouf-lage.
It’s fair to say that the balayage trend is here to stay. It is one of our most requested colour services here at HM – and the team are experts in the perfect colour placement. This new technique makes balayage more natural than ever before. It’s all about mixing babylights and natural ribbons of colour for a multi-dimensional look that is very subtle and low maintenance.
Don’t forget: While trends provide the perfect inspiration, it’s important to choose a style that suits you and your lifestyle. It’s important you have your own hair goal in mind that we can work towards. What may work for someone, may not work for you and your hair. Consultation is key to make sure you and your stylist are on the same wavelength (hair pun totally intended).
